And here is my finishathon story, the Downton Abbey/Doctor Who/Sherlock crossover you lot voted for. I took ages to get started on it due to not having a real plot, but eventually it came to me. To my surprise, Edith Crawley turned out to be a bit of a star and Violet was huge fun to write. 4226 words of crossover madness (for once in popular fandoms)!

I don't think I was actually meant to write the story, but I couldn't help it. It came to me in the car a few days ago, but I only got round to writing it now because I had Multiverse stories to finish. To reassure those who dislike sport, there is no football/soccer in this story. It all takes place at a party. About 950 words.

My thanks as ever go to my excellent beta-reader, astrogirl2, who found things I am ashamed to have missed. The story is on my site's fiction page, with the previous three parts in the series, and I will also load it onto the Hip Deep in Heroes archive, probably tomorrow.

This is a PGP in which Vila takes Orac and uses it to sabotage the Federation. In the meantime, Avon is looking for him.

I've posted my brains_in_a_jar story. This was a challenge I couldn't resist: write a character as a spaceship and another as the pilot. It's not as crackfic as it sounds--it's all quite likely in the B7 universe--and how could I resist a little hard SF?

I've added another story to my site. I wrote this one about three years ago, and it's been in zine limbo. I rescued it from the defunct ttba, and then it was to go in the next edition of Chronicles but the editor stepped down so there may not be one.

The Delta Domeheads is set about seven years before The Way Back and has a 22-year-old Vila encountering a strange group of people in the pub. It's geeky, and now I read it again, a bit meta too.

[Edit:] If you haven't seen season 4, you might miss a bit of foreshadowing.

I thought this story up after a conversation with entropy_house on her post this week about losing a beloved cat, Bernie. This is in memory of four cats--my Sigi and Petra, Alpo of Finland, and Bernie of Florida--and is set just after the last episode of Blake's 7. Cut for length, sentimentality (though there's some snark too), and the certainty that no matter what your beliefs are, this will contradict them.

This also answers a request kerravonsen had.
