For those who wanted to know: this was a great book: a fun, quick read full of fannish geekiness, black humour, lots of Trek, and with a hero called Jim Pike. I've been feeling down this week and it made me laugh a lot. I'd recommend it to anyone (especially Star Trek fans) who doesn't have a deep attachment to Houston. ;-)

22 – Have you ever participated in a fest, ficathon, or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favourite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?

Yes, two or three Blake's 7 ones, several Multiverses, and a couple of "a ficathon walks into a bar". The last two are coming up again and I'll give them a go. They're both crossovers which can be cracky fun, and I think I've pretty much got over my desire to explain how two universes collide.

I'm not generally that good at picking favourites, but I think I had the most fun writing for the B7 crackathon because I do enjoy writing crack and humour. I wrote for three prompts in the end:

Wishful Thinking - Blake as a genie in a bottle

Little Expectations - Vila finds the Liberator is growing a mini-Liberator

Jenna Stannis PI - Jenna Stannis, Private Investigator, noir style and in her own words. This one's a sequel to the previous one which I forgot when doing the sequel question. I suppose it needs a sequel of its own now I think of it.

Rest of the questions )
