30 Days Of Fan Fiction: Day 22
22 – Have you ever participated in a fest, ficathon, or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favourite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
Yes, two or three Blake's 7 ones, several Multiverses, and a couple of "a ficathon walks into a bar". The last two are coming up again and I'll give them a go. They're both crossovers which can be cracky fun, and I think I've pretty much got over my desire to explain how two universes collide.
I'm not generally that good at picking favourites, but I think I had the most fun writing for the B7 crackathon because I do enjoy writing crack and humour. I wrote for three prompts in the end:
Wishful Thinking - Blake as a genie in a bottle
Little Expectations - Vila finds the Liberator is growing a mini-Liberator
Jenna Stannis PI - Jenna Stannis, Private Investigator, noir style and in her own words. This one's a sequel to the previous one which I forgot when doing the sequel question. I suppose it needs a sequel of its own now I think of it.
Rest of the questions
23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
24 – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a beta horror story or dream story?
25 – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
26 – What is the oddest (or most fun) thing you've had to research for a fic?
27 – Where is your favourite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
29 – What is your current project or projects?
30 – Do you have a favourite fic you've written? What makes it your favourite? And don't forget to give us a link!

But I don't have captcha turned on! [goes to check in another browser] It didn't happen for me. Maybe LJ have changed their default security options once again. [checks] No, I have "show CAPTCHA to nobody". I'm puzzled and no one else has complained.
Aha. I looked at the bug board and:
"There is currently a known issue where anonymous commenters are asked to complete a CAPTCHA even if the journal owner has disabled this in their journal settings. This has been forwarded to LiveJournal developers for investigation."
[Edit] If you weren't commenting anonymously, they ask the following:
* which categories of commenters are being asked to complete a CAPTCHA?
* are all of your commenters being shown a CAPTCHA, or only some of them?
* is this happening on all of your journal entries, or only some of them?
* please include a link to a Public entry where commenters are being asked to complete a CAPTCHA.
This information will allow Support volunteers to investigate further. Thank you for your help.
Can you let me know and I'll submit a bug report. Thanks!

Firstly, I'm not commenting anonymously. I'm logged in. The comment should appear as coming from me.
Secondly - may/may not be relevant - I've recently changed from Firefox to chrome.
This is on Dreamwidth, not Livejournal,
Forth, it only seems to be affecting comments in your journal. I'm not being asked for Captchas by any other journals.
Fifth. This entry needed a Captcha, so you can give it to them as a link.
