The Eye of the Beholder
Wait? Servalan expected him to wait? A petty little power play which Travis had no intention of going along with. He pushed past the indignant aide and marched straight towards the Supreme Commander's office.
Servalan was leaning back in her chair, her face composed and slightly amused, even though she was, from what Travis knew of her, undoubtedly furious. Her reputation was built on her capricious use of power and he had no intention of being one of her tame lackeys.
He halted at her desk, hands on hips, and stared her down. His stereo vision had been lost with his left eye, so she looked quite two-dimensional; a cardboard cut-out. Perhaps if he looked behind that beautiful facade, he would find nothing but blankness.
