Telly goodies

Just seen on TV:

Revenge of the Sith trailer and review. Hey, you know what? It looks good! The reviewer said that she was disappointed in the first two films, but this one should silence all of Lucas's critics, and Hayden Christensen is excellent as Anakin. I rather think it will be worth another trip to the Circle Lounge.

Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe trailer, and it looks great: impressive scenery and SFX (including lion!), and the children look very WW2 as they should. They mentioned it was the first film so I'm hoping they'll do the other books.

Lost / The Office crossover (recorded this week). Oh, all right, it was just Lost, but they put in a deliberate reference that delighted us. During the flashback to Charlie in London, his very rich girlfriend said her father was away "buying a paper company in Slough". ROTFL.

I missed the Office reference! Then again, I'm not a fan, so that would explain it.

Saw the Narnia trailer the other day, it does look good, doesn't it? Filmed in NZ, too. And yes, the Episode III trailer is very enticing - only 12 days to go now!

Aslan is played by Zion, one of the lions I saw last week. Well, they filmed him to base the CGI on. :-) I've been seeing news items about the animatronics and effects used in it, and was delighted finally to see what it will really look like. [bounce]

They've got Star Wars eps 1 and 2 on TV this Monday and next, so I'll refresh my memory of them before ep 3. Jar-Jar notwithstanding.

Have you seen the serialisations of some of the Narnia books that the BBC made a couple if decades ago? I didn't see all of them, but the ones I did see were pretty good, IIRC. I don't know if they're available on video or DVD.

I did see them, and they're on DVD; I saw them yesterday at the video shop!

I've been hearing good buzz about the new Star Wars. I may actually have to go and see the damned thing! :)

I was going to anyway out of completism, but now I'm really looking forward to it.
