Doll Nico

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] snowgrouse, a fun timewaster: the Candybar Doll Maker site. I gave up before I found eyebrows that weren't almost in my hairline, but I made a skinny pixie me with a tame lion cub. Tip: To save a doll, use the print screen button and crop it in a graphics program. I'm tempted to make some of the B7 women but it's dinner time.

Eee! I knew it! You have the same hair I used for Vila!:D:D:D:D:D:D

Oops, sorry, not exactly the same hair, but I did consider that particular hairdo for a long while:D.

He'd have to be a younger Vila, then.

That's so cute! Do you like lions?

I love any sort of cat! There's a guy up near Whangarei who has tame ones (one will be Aslan in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe); he hand rears them from cubs. I long to cuddle one. His program is one of our favourites.

one will be Aslan in "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe"

Is someone making a new version of this?

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 10:21 am (UTC)(link)
They are! It's being made here and I've seen some footage of the special affects (animatronics etc). I wasn't very clear about the program I said is a favourite; it's a weekly doco called 'Lion Man' about Craig Bush and his lions and tigers.

Ooh, we love his program! Those cubs are so adorable :)

I'm definitely going to his park next time we go up north.

Nice one. I'd love to see B7 ladies in cutie doll form, if you ever feel inspired.

Ooh, a challenge! I should get my face right first though.

I've tried twice to save it now and each time for some bizarre reason it only saved one bit of the image - the first time a scarf, the second a cat. Don't think I can be fagged to go through it all again....

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
That happened to me the first time when I simply tried to save the image. Press 'print screen' then paste it.

[identity profile] hafren.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 12:17 pm (UTC)(link)
couldn't find a button called print screen...

It'll probably be PrtSc or some other abbreviation. Or do you have a Mac? If so, it's Shift+Apple+3.

Those dollmakers are fun, but I'd love to see one with realistic body shapes.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I totally agree. There were almost 1000 hairstyles and just one (very thin)body each for female and male. I suppose it was so all the clothes would fit; otherwise they'd have to have several versions of each outfit.

Very cute. :)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 08:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not that cute in RL. :-P

[identity profile] jhall1.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably just as well. One can have too much cute. :)
