Two things found on linguaphiles today:

This site will translate text into 1337speak or, as they say, into the style of a 12-year-old AOLer. ITS JUST A PITY IT DO3SNT GO DA OTH3R WAY!1!!11

Someone asked why only certain colours turn up in surnames (because they're usually based on personal appearance or where an ancestor lived) but this answer was interesting. I see that Blake comes up under both 'black' and 'white'. [snigger] How appropriate.

I blush to report that I've just wasted a happy half-hour typing in classic poetry and drama and seeing what comes out. Neither Hamlet nor Ozymandias will ever be quite the same :) and what it did to Jabberwocky was truly eye-opening...
