Have a good one!

Thank you all for your good wishes and comments! [hugs] And thank you to [livejournal.com profile] kalinda001 for the e-card, and [livejournal.com profile] bigdamnxenafan for the virtual snow!

I actually had a pretty good Christmas day, what with the wonderful gifts from lovely online friends, and a very pleasant lunch and relaxed afternoon shmoozing outside in the shade with my sister and her family. Even the driving wasn't bad once I got out of town, but it seems a lot of other people have sussed that it's a good day to travel. Just like they all now know about the the Gordonton Road route which I take, which was once so deserted I learned to drive on it.

I came back with a bag of plums and another of lemons from their trees, and Jasmin attempted to climb into one, so I gave her a gift of her own: a fresh brown paper bag. That was over an hour ago and she's still in it. Nope; she just came out. They always seem to know when I'm talking about them. :-)

I hope all of you have a great day.

That's so nice to have family close by! None of mine are within driving distance - although sometimes I must admit that's not a bad thing for us... :o)

Are your cubs paper baggers only or do they also like boxes? The kits love paper bags but you show them a new box (especially the ones with flaps) and they're in exploration heaven.

They love boxes! But they both chew madly at them and leave bits of cardboard all over the floor, so they don't get them as much as they might. I usually let them play till a fair bit of the flaps are chewed off, or we have visitors.

Kiki does that, too. They both like to take turns sitting inside with the flaps hiding them. Then when the other comes close, they'll ambush him/her. They also like to startle Keiki - she's learned to be wary of boxes and gives them a wide berth. :o)

Poor Keiki! The cubs give each other about the same amount of teasing.

I just bought them a laser light from the pet store (as I wanted to ensure it was safe) and you never saw so much racing and slipping and sliding and scrabbling-paws-in-one-place on the shiny floor! Score!
