Have a good one!

Thank you all for your good wishes and comments! [hugs] And thank you to [livejournal.com profile] kalinda001 for the e-card, and [livejournal.com profile] bigdamnxenafan for the virtual snow!

I actually had a pretty good Christmas day, what with the wonderful gifts from lovely online friends, and a very pleasant lunch and relaxed afternoon shmoozing outside in the shade with my sister and her family. Even the driving wasn't bad once I got out of town, but it seems a lot of other people have sussed that it's a good day to travel. Just like they all now know about the the Gordonton Road route which I take, which was once so deserted I learned to drive on it.

I came back with a bag of plums and another of lemons from their trees, and Jasmin attempted to climb into one, so I gave her a gift of her own: a fresh brown paper bag. That was over an hour ago and she's still in it. Nope; she just came out. They always seem to know when I'm talking about them. :-)

I hope all of you have a great day.

Awww, <3 Jasmin. I got a book called "The Devious Book for Cats" and I think Jasmin would appreciate it.

I wouldn't let her read it! She knows enough already!

[identity profile] emerald-happy.livejournal.com 2009-12-25 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe she wrote it :P

*snuggles* Glad you had a great day.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-12-25 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
And I hope you have too! [glomps]

You see, I probably would've joined that DW comm if I hadn't been asked into it by people I didn't even know and I didn't know what the hell it was about, so without an intro message in my email inbox, I just ignored it (I actually thought it was some Vila fanclub or something). I don't like being added to any groups I don't know WTF about, but I'm sorry that I missed out on Bringing Vilakins The Love. If you have any drawing request, anything at all that can simply, reasonably drawn, please do give me a request and I'll make a doodle or a drawing for you:)♥

Ah, so that's how she did it! I wondered because a couple of friends who don't know anyone else on my flist were there. There's an intro post in the comm which must have been visible, but I understand. I get weird strangers trying to friend me on Facebook and LibraryThing.

Ooh, let's think. Vila and Four, since I wrote them once? Having tea in the TARDIS, perhaps? They did in my story. :-)

It's quick and a bit rubbish, but I can't really draw those two... Vila has already busy grabbing some important TARDIS components.

Ts! [shakes head at naughty Vila] Acquiring bits of the vehicle you're in is not conducive to a long and pleasant life. Best to put them back. :-D

I am glad you had a nice day! Good for your cats, you know how to please them:-)
My day was quite good but all the snow has gone. Tygr caught a mouse shortly after midnight and brought it inside - and it escaped. This happens very often, he is just sitting and watching US chasing the mouse. I had to finish it fast and I threw it outside, for which I earned a distasteful look...:-)

These ones bring in several lizards a day (which we rescue and take outside) and the occasional bird (for which it's too late) I've only seen two late mice, one of which I almost took for a toy. :-P

I'm looking forward to them growing out of it in a year or so.

I'm glad you had a great day. Wishing you many more =)

And you too! :-D

Sounds like you had a nice time. :)

Cat + paper bag = love. :D

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-12-27 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
She's bitten a little hole in it so she has a window. :-)

I'm glad you had a good day! I envy you being within driving distance of your sister and I'm glad you had a good time. :o)

My kits would love to join your Jasmin in playing with her paper bag. I hope she enjoyed it. :o)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-12-29 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
My brother is also in the same city. :-)

The paper bag is pretty much shredded now by both cubs!

[identity profile] luinielle.livejournal.com 2009-12-30 05:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That's so nice to have family close by! None of mine are within driving distance - although sometimes I must admit that's not a bad thing for us... :o)

Are your cubs paper baggers only or do they also like boxes? The kits love paper bags but you show them a new box (especially the ones with flaps) and they're in exploration heaven.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-12-30 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
They love boxes! But they both chew madly at them and leave bits of cardboard all over the floor, so they don't get them as much as they might. I usually let them play till a fair bit of the flaps are chewed off, or we have visitors.

[identity profile] luinielle.livejournal.com 2009-12-31 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Kiki does that, too. They both like to take turns sitting inside with the flaps hiding them. Then when the other comes close, they'll ambush him/her. They also like to startle Keiki - she's learned to be wary of boxes and gives them a wide berth. :o)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2009-12-31 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Keiki! The cubs give each other about the same amount of teasing.

I just bought them a laser light from the pet store (as I wanted to ensure it was safe) and you never saw so much racing and slipping and sliding and scrabbling-paws-in-one-place on the shiny floor! Score!
