Three memes

It's meme time again. First a test from [livejournal.com profile] communicator, then two more which looked interesting.

Your result for Howard Gardner's Eight Types of Intelligence Test...

Linguistic

22% Logical, 41% Spatial, 61% Linguistic, 39% Intrapersonal, 6% Interpersonal, 12% Musical, 4% Bodily-Kinesthetic and 55% Naturalistic!

"Verbal-linguistic intelligence has to do with words, spoken or written. People with verbal-linguistic intelligence display a facility with words and languages. They are typically good at reading, writing, telling stories and memorizing words and dates. They tend to learn best by reading, taking notes, listening to lectures, and via discussion and debate. They are also frequently skilled at explaining, teaching and oration or persuasive speaking. Those with verbal-linguistic intelligence learn foreign languages very easily as they have high verbal memory and recall, and an ability to understand and manipulate syntax and structure.

Careers which suit those with this intelligence include writers, lawyers, philosophers, journalists, politicians and teachers." (Wikipedia)

I usually cope out as logical and scientific, but this one places me definitely in the linguistic camp. The next test seems to bear that out, since I have never learned Spanish.

Your result for The Spanish Test...

The Native Speaker

71% educado!

You scored 71% educado. If you aren't hispanic, then you've done a great job learning. You know specialized vocabulary, and you can pass for un hispanohablante. !Felicitaciones!

Ahaha, not really. I just used my knowledge of Latin and Italian, but I still got quite a few wrong.

Your result for The Literary Character Test...

Tom Sawyer

Good, Human, Side Thinker

Tom Sawyer is the youth in all of us; he biggest desire is to laugh and play all day, and pure adventure is his biggest vice. His cleverness can get him into plenty of mischief and trouble, but even those who must punish him, also must admit that it is also what endears him so much to so many people. He is admired and enjoyed by all, and even when his sense of fun dictates he must take advantage of them, he has a sense of honor and nobility that cannot be denied, even if he tries at times.

Fair enough since I've never grown up.

There will be actual content in this journal. Maybe even today.

Hee, I got 73% educado; a little from primary knowledge (too many US cop shows), but most from cognates with French.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
You're more Hispanic than me! ;-)

[identity profile] astrogirl2.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
Geez, I only scored 79% on the Spanish one, and I took five years of Spanish in high school and college. And I live in New Mexico!

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
Well, you still beat us both! And that's as it should be.

[identity profile] communicator.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I like the literary character test. It said I was Prospero. A bit gloomy perhaps.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
At least you weren't Caliban!

[identity profile] acanthaster.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I got Tom Saywer, too!

For the Types of Intelligence Test I got Spatial. (22% Logical, 61% Spatial, 33% Linguistic, 49% Intrapersonal, 25% Interpersonal, 22% Musical, 18% Bodily-Kinesthetic and 22% Naturalistic.) I think it's just because I could see the dinosaur thing, because I'm horrible at "visualizing and mentally manipulating objects" and absolutely do NOT have a "very good sense of direction" or "very good hand-eye coordination." I don't think I have a "strong visual memory" either (?), although I am sort of "artistically inclined," in a goofy way.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
I usually do well in spatial tests because I'm very visual. I'm not sure what 'naturalistic' is, though I scored fairly highly in that. Liking the outdoors?

[identity profile] popcorn-oracle.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Hm, I got intrapersonal on the int test. Which seemed about right, perfectionism and constantly overthinking crap. Psychology was even put in there for career, yay to that^^;. I was pretty equally high on logic and spatial, also not too surprisingly.

I dunno how I got Tom Sawyer, maybe they have a different perspective on that character from me @_@. Cause wow, I'm not even close to that, aha.

Not even going to attempt the Spanish test, it's been like 5 years since I took any and I didn't pay attention to any of it @_@.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:25 am (UTC)(link)
I've never even taken it! You could probably guess from French or other romance languages.

Out of the professions I got, only writer appeals. Lawyers are bent professional liars, philosophy: not really my thing, journalist: not when I avoid the news due to its depressing nature, politicians: more so than lawyers--so not a coincidence that pols start as lawyers in the US, and teacher? I'd rather join the army. It would be lass scary.

Ooh, you've just reminded me that I took that intelligence one a few days ago. I'm sure I've got the result somewhere. (Yes, it was linguistic! :-)) I'll post it later.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:26 am (UTC)(link)
I thought you might have been interpersonal too. Was that a high score? It was predictably low for me. :-P

[identity profile] jhall1.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
I love the illustration for your Types of Intelligence Test result. :)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:55 am (UTC)(link)
Me too! Even though I say her name with three syllables. :-)

[identity profile] the-summoning-d.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I got 'native speaker' too, mainly by using hat I know of French and Latin. (Or completely random things: like 'chupar' being 'to lick' because of those lollipops called Chupa Chups XD)

And apparently I'm a logical thinker, and Sherlock Holmes

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 07:28 pm (UTC)(link)
And that goat-sucking monster, the chupacabra! :-P

[identity profile] jaxomsride.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I got 52% and I've never studied Spanish!
I just have a very eclectic brain. It gathers all sorts of useful? knowledge and makes connections so I could make educated guesses.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2008-10-26 02:07 am (UTC)(link)
You're probably exposed to quite a lot without realising it, too.

[identity profile] jaxomsride.livejournal.com 2008-10-26 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
Either that or more stuck in from Sesame street than I realised!
