Of course, what they could do? If they said not to go they went to the jail. Yes, there are catalans in Spanish tv and in Spanish futbol team,o f course, as there are Tibetan presentors in China tv and Tibetan guys singing in China version of American Idol as Chinese (the same Catalans we appear as Spaniards to the rest of the world) All is question of marketing. We don't have our Richard Gere suppporting us and, having all international news corresponsals in Madrid it is a bit hard the rest of the world have any idea of situation and the point of view here in Catalunya. We are wrong lot of times, of course, but it is the same as with Feminism: even feminists do some mistake and do something ridiculous here and there it is far obvious woman has been abused by men all along history and even now.
A last thing: Catalonia is fighting for having a football team but Spanish govbernment doesn't allows, except for some kind of "amity" and useless matches, not really competition ones. Even Scotland has more freedom than us in all those maters (even, on the other hand, we kept far better our language, we must admit this too) everybody knows the topic Scotish wears kilt, etc... everybody think in Barcelona we love bullfights and flamenco which is not. Last survey: 85% of Catalans we want disgusting idiotic primitive bullfigthing crap is banned while in the rest of Spain is still loved by about a 55%. Quite depressing. Sorry, I am just having a sad night (lot of people here) and I am a bit on the passion moment, even i don't want to kill the Catalan players as some here who call them traitors (poor guys, what they can do?)

If it helps, I wasn't supporting Spain as a country, but their team for being a good one. After all, I used to live in Germany and loved it there, but I just think the winning team were better players.

And I'm glad Catalans don't like bullfighting.
