DVD purchases

I was just saying to [livejournal.com profile] executrix that I have so many DVDs piled up to watch, I haven't managed to get back to the Buffy ones I bought a while ago second hand. And we have just acquired more.

Greg bought the entire Jeeves and Wooster (Fry and Laurie! I loved that when I saw it years ago) and some classic SF like Forbidden Planet and Blade Runner (a set of five, yes, five different cuts; he's not obsessed) in the Amazon sales, and today we just got The Great Escape and--wait for it, [livejournal.com profile] sallymn--The Magnificent Seven collection today. Greg held it up at the video store and said, "Want this? It has an excellent cast," and I said, "Yes!"

Not sure when I'll get to it though.

Oooh, was the M7 the film collection or the TV series?

And Jeeves and Wooster was great fun - no, not up to Plum himself (but then who is?) but the nearest any adaptation ever got...

Oh, bum. I might have guessed there was more to it. The films.

And I have seen Jeeves and Wooster years ago and loved it. I should edit my post.

I believe the movie is wonderful though, (the pilot of the TV series is based on it, and it certainly is :) and the movie has Yul Brynner, which is always a plus.
