Donna and Vila, and more cards

First up, I added another crossover conversation (though not technically a conversation) for Donna and Vila. This meme is now closed, but I'll definitely have another go at it if it comes round again.

I got a lovely cat card from [livejournal.com profile] entropy_house and a gorgeous handmade one from [livejournal.com profile] imhilien with cleverly rolled and glued-on paper to make candles complete with flames. :-D

[Edit:] Ooh, and a very cute e-card book from [livejournal.com profile] san_valentine with the most adorable little black and white kitten.

But man, am I stressed out with this sauna-like weather and the stupid Christmas work rush (like why the hell we have to send cards to every client; bah humbug). I've even had to bring some work home.

I'd assume a spatula was long and thin without holes. Whereas a fish slice is, um, some sort of symmetrical trapezoid with holes. You traditionally got them as a wedding present, for some reason, but I have one despite being a vegetarian spinster.

I have an old wooden-handled, metal fish-slice I use for clearing deposits from the cats' litter trays. It's much sturdier than any of the plastic litter scoops I've seen, and I like the longer handle.

I have one dedicated to that too!

And why not? You can flip your vege patties or corn fritters with it! I do.

I've never heard of them as wedding presents though. People here tend to toasters and hideous plates and vases. I did get a skillet, but I asked for one.

It's all "spatula" to me. :)
