Careers meme

From a few people by now:

1. Go to this this site.
2. Put in [login information deleted - see this post]
3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions.
4. Post the top fifteen results.

1. Multimedia Developer
2. Costume Designer
3. Electrical Engineering Tech
4. Electronics Engineering Tech
5. Chemical Engineer
6. Special Effects Technician
7. Website Designer
8. Industrial Designer
9. Desktop Publisher
10. Electrician
11. Computer Programmer
12. Technical Writer
13. Fashion Designer
14. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator
15. Animator

Not bad. I've done 7, 11, and 12, I'm sort of doing 9, and 14 and 15 would be fun. I did an engineering paper for my physics degree and often thought I should have gone in for that; this test seems to agree. Hmm, I won a fashion design prize at high school, but I wouldn't go touch that, I despise the whole business.

Vila's are a bit more fun.

From the stuff you've submitted for the art month, I could see you being a great Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator and Animator.

Thanks! I'd like to do something, maybe illustrate and indeed write children's books. :-)

That was quite fun - my top 5 jobs were: desktop publisher, animator, historian, veternarion and ecologist.

Are any of them close to what you do?

[identity profile] extreme-queen.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
No. But they're the type of jobs I'd love to do :D

I tried doing that, but I didn't have any particular desire for a job involving almost any of the things they asked about. It told me I ought to be a marketing analyst. I was too horrified to post the results. :)

I would be too!

Yours is a good list (though why on earth cartoonist was higher on mine, when I cannot draw...)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2007-09-14 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
They didn't ask about drawing though. Maybe you scored higher for creativity compared to other things like my maths and techo stuff. Or maybe they picked up on your sense of humour. :-)

And now I think of it, the early Cathy cartoons were dreadful in execution... she got by on the jokes while teaching herself to draw, it seems.

xkcd doesn't even bother with drawing, and he's wonderfully funny (in a weird geeky way). Have a look at [livejournal.com profile] xkcd_rss.
