Darth Avon?

I too did the MBTI test, plus the multiple intelligences one they have on the same site.

Yep, still INTP, but I'm usually more P and occasionally less T in other tests. I think I got a bit more J in there this time because they asked about work, and I'm a lot more efficient and organised there than at home.

According to their description of an INTP, I'm an 'engineer' or a 'wizard' who is easy-going and amenable until crossed, a thinker who prefers to come up with the ideas and let someone else do the work, and is familiar with the dark side. [breathes heavily] I note they list Avon as a fictional example along with Data and Seven of Nine, which is unexpected and very cool. I do actually have a pump-action gun, but it only fires water.

As for the other one, that sounds about right too; I'm a nerdy klutz. Or klutzy nerd; take your pick.

Sounds like a description of Albus Dumbledore to me. :)

I'm no good at admin and responsibility though. The Hogwarts students would run riot, like any class I had to look after when I was in the 7th form.

That's what you have housemasters/mistresses for. :)

But Data is an android and Seven of Nine isn't a human being--wouldn't they have different MBTI classifications?

Seven of Nine was born human. It was the mention of Avon that amused me most though; the writers of the test have good taste in obscure SF.

I tried the MBTI test and found it maddening. Quite a lot of the time I wanted to chose both options.

In the end I got ENFP (the advocate)as a result:
"ENFPs are introspective, values-oriented, inspiring, social and extremely expressive. They actively send their thoughts and ideas out into the world as a way to bring attention to what they feel to be important, which often has to do with ethics and current events. ENFPs are natural advocates, attracting people to themselves and their cause with excellent people skills, warmth, energy and positivity. ENFPs are described as creative, resourceful, assertive, spontaneous, life-loving, charismatic, passionate and experimental."

I'd agree with some of that, but I'm sure I could take the test again and get a different result.

There are other MBTI tests, and I almost always come out INTP on them. I did want to choose 'both' or 'depending' on some.

The other test had three options for each question; you might like that one.
