Last week on holiday, I went to a class at a place called the Creative Cafe and made two necklaces.


Green and blue necklace (the green matches a linen shirt)


Amber and black necklace

Yes, those are nice. I like the amber and black one best as well, but I don't have a green shirt. What I have is a coffee coloured dress.

Amber's a bit yellow for that (it doesn't match my cafe au lait shirt) but it's lovely with black.

When I saw the range they had, I couldn't resist. I bought more beads for a third necklace I'll make here when I've got the wire, clasps, crimps, and pliers. :-)

I've always liked those colours together, and these are esp nice, having foil inside the beads which makes them silvery and iridescent. :-)

:-) I went there with the idea of doing a richer green and blue, more emerald and sapphire, but when I found the middle bead (which is how you start), I changed my mind. That green's hard to find, and the necklace will also go with some blue shirts I have. :-)
