Tessa and PC-ness

Not good

Tessa has osteoarthritis, and they say she's had it for a while. So why, I asked, did she rocket up and down the stairs and love to play, and why did it get so bad so suddenly? They couldn't answer the first bit, but apparently it's been aggravated by her either jumping off something too high, or getting into a fight. I have pain-killers for her and some glucosamine sprinkles for her food, though I already give her green-lipped mussel pills. She is not happy. She's curled up on a chair with Claudia cuddled up comfortingly to her, when she'd normally be in here demanding attention. I suppose that's good in one way since they said to make her rest for 3-4 days and I have no idea how to do that.

If she hasn't improved in a week or so, I have to take her in for x-rays.

Somewhat better

The hardware guy brought my work PC back today, but the motherboard still can't recognise the RAID. They unplugged one disc though so at least I have all my data back. However the virus checking software has been dorked, I can't run Outlook due to various bizarre error messages, and the PC doesn't show the internet connection under 'network connections', which may be the same problem. It's hard to test this though since the office's ISP was down all day. It's a step in the right direction though.

Oh, poor thing - hugs for her and for you, too. I hope that the sudden aggravation will ease off again, and that she'll be ok in a steady state with careful diet/supplements. It always sounds as though you take care with their food, so I hope she'll be ok again soon.

As for your PC, getting the data back must be a huge relief - and I hope that it means you can run your programs now, too. Fingers crossed for your network connection, now....

I do: they get Hill's science diet with a teaspoon or two of soft food as a treat in the evening, with their mussel pills mixed in, and they're in good nick generally, glossy and playful.

I hope it's just something simple, like the hardware guy not knowing what to plug in. I can see the local network but that's all. I'll ring the guy responsible for that when I get to work.
