A lot of the buzz I was hearing sounded like it might just take some of the bad taste left by the last two out of my mouth, so I started feeling guardedly optimistic, but then I read a review by a friend of mine (he reviews movies for a living, partly, so he got to see an advance screening) that sorta dashed my hopes again. (I'd link to it, but his blog appears to be down at the moment.) Then again, I'm tempted to go and see it just because it's got Wayne Pygram. Besides, if I go in with rock-bottom expectations, maybe I'm more likely to enjoy whatever about it doesn't suck.
The reviewer on the BBC didn't like the other two and loved this one, and she's a fan from her childhood. The review in the paper last weekend was very promising too. I'd say it's worth a go, but I doubt it'll be up to the first trilogy.
It's amazing to realise that ep 4 came out the same time as they started Blake's 7. The SFX still look extremely cool.
