Two more memes and a tasteless link
First, from
quarryquest, the 'my show' meme.
My "everybody loves it and I do too" show: I don't think there's anything everyone loves, but Star Trek, Babylon 5, Farscape, and Firefly are pretty popular here.
My "I'll catch it on DVD" show: Buffy, because I am. I never saw it on TV but I bought all the DVDs second-hand and now we have a new TV, I can even see all the dark night-time scenes properly. :-) And if we don't get season 2 of BSG here, I may have to buy that too.
My "I love it and you should too" show: None, because I don't think everyone should have the same taste as me.
My "I love, but keep missing it, dammit" show: The Kumars at Number 42 -- and don't worry if you never heard of it. It's British-Indian comedy interviews of people I've usually never heard of but it's so funny.
My guilty pleasure show: Desperate Housewives
My comfort food show: The Zoo and The Lion Man
My "I'll never abandon you, ever" show: Blake's 7, of course!
From
mistraltoes, the 'commonly confused words test'. I think I've done this one before, but it has good questions and a deliberate mix of US and UK spelling. Sadly, I've seen examples of most of the wrong answers at work and on the web.
| English Genius You scored 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 100% Advanced, and 100% Expert! |
| You did so extremely well, even I can't find a word to describe your excellence! You have the uncommon intelligence necessary to understand things that most people don't. You have an extensive vocabulary, and you're not afraid to use it properly! Way to go! Thank you so much for taking my test. I hope you enjoyed it! |
