Dammit, I insisted this is no good for people with icons from one fandom but two people said to do it.

Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. If anyone's left over at the end, pair them with the first one.

Avon and Bayban: Bayban's quite clever with words himself--but one snark too many from Avon and the loose cannon would be using one. There'd be at least one bleeding body on the floor within the hour.

Blake / Cally: Nah, nothing between them but their revolutionary fervour . If there'd been even a hint, Jenna would have found a way to leave Cally stranded on a planet somewhere.

Claudia & Dayna: I'm not sure Dayna sees animals as other than prey, but I think she'd like Claudia. Claudia's assertive, playful, affectionate, but knows how to use the ancient feline weapons if pushed. I can see Dayna going hunting with Claudia as her trained gun- or bow-cat.

Gan & Hello Vila.

redstarrobot wanted a pairing to write me a little Hello Vila story, but I suppose she could assume it's Hello Gan too (for her reference,

snowgrouse has one here) having a picnic with Hello Og and Hello Dayna. Otherwise it would be just too bizarre.

Jenna & Kerril: They'd get on extremely well; they're both tough, no-nonsense women who also like to look their best if there's someone worth doing it for--and neither would fancy the other's target. I can see them doing each other's hair and nails while swapping stories of their kick-arse smuggler and gangster lives.

Krantor & Nico: Eh? I don't like gambling and I wouldn't touch his pataki cakes. I love dressing up though and I'd get right into the spirit of Mardi Gras in any period he'd care to name (Roman!), but I'd be eating ice cream on the Rink, not losing my money in his casino.

Orac & Tessa. Orac would be outraged by the presence of a creature that couldn't use words to communicate and try to ignore her, but she'd paw at his glowy innards, possibly lose small toys in there, and remove his key and bat it round the floor. Hah, I think Orac deserves that. Then, if he's nice and warm after a good think, she'd curl up on him and go to sleep.

Tiger cub & Vic: Hmm, both are black and white and Vic's not that much smaller so I'd give them even chances in a scrap, though putting a bumbling little cub who just wants to play up against an experienced night-fighter like Vic is a bit mean. Vic incidentally was named after Vic Fontaine from DS9 for the tux he wears though he just has a pitiful kitten squeak.

Vila and Zen: Vila treats all the computers like people (to Avon's scorn) so I often think Zen had a bit of a soft spot for Vila. I bet Vila chatted to him on night watches, and even if Zen didn't respond, his lights would shift and glow while he thought about it. It's Vila he says he's sorry to and uses 'I' to for the first and last time. [sniff]
