Winter in summer

I hate winter, so dark and grey and wet. Especially when it's supposed to be bloody summer. It's 17 degrees C here and I'm wearing two layers of wool and sheepskin slippers. There's hail and frighteningly close thunder and lightning outside. Well, the reverse really; why do they say it in the wrong order?

It's been like this for weeks. It's really getting me down.

I'm going to bed to hide under the duvet. :-(

17 c is a nice and toasty summer temperature up here;). (Bet you knew I was going to say that.)

Hope the weather gets better soon. *sends you a woolly Vila*

It's 13C now, alternating sun, thunderstorms, and hail, all with high winds. It's meant to be swelteringly hot with cicadas chirruping in the trees outside. :-(

[snuggles into a warm Restal hug. Mmmmm.]

My deepest sympathy, we are having the same weather here but at least our December weather is suposed to be miserable

Thanks. This really feels like winter. I just heard the southern motorway was backed up due to hail. One good thing--that traditional UK Christmas food which I usually don't fancy will really suit this weather.

Right. We're off to have coffee and a mince pie at our local mall and prove to ourselves than Stephen Fleming exists off the cricket pitch on our TV screen (he's signing his book there).

*does conversions*

Aw, but 17 C is pleasant weather! :)

(Then again, maybe I'm just jealouse because it's been hovering around freezing here much of the time, and my heating isn't working very well. :))

Pleasant? For winter maybe, but not summer.

It was 13C this morning, with more thunder and hail. It's sunny and back to 17C and very windy (48kph, the weather pixie tells me) right now though, so I put the laundry out to get whipped dry.
