vilakins | Plots with a View

I've just seen a wonderful film, a Welsh comedy called Plots with a View. It's about a shy undertaker (Alfred Molina) who has loved a woman (Brenda Blethyn) for 30 years but never said anything. It had cats, showtunes, a crazed American undertaker (Christopher Walken), a Vulcan funeral that goes through the roof, and a happy ending that was perfect yet not at all soppy. What more could you want? I'm still grinning like an idiot.

It was filmed in south-east Wales which was a major factor in getting Greg to go (he's now in love with the place like me and we're definitely going back one day) and just for linda_joyce, at one point someone says, "Faster than you can say Abertillery."

Before it was a trailer for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow which I know nothing about other than it looks wonderful, all 1930s SF-style giant robot invasions and plucky Earthling fighter pilots. I want to see it.
