What I've done and am about to do
Yes, I've been slack. Slack all round about posting, writing, you name it.
Work's been a bit fraught lately and today was worse than usual. The run-in I had with a colleague about her rudeness got, as always, turned back on me. Sigh. Note to self: It's always my fault. Second note: keep feelings to yourself. Not doing so will never work out.
Anyway.
Things I have yet to post:
In the meantime I have to catch up with OUaT.

Things I have yet to post:
- all the lovely spring photos I took (even though it's now summer, i.e. hot and sticky if mostly grey)
- photos from the air show two weeks ago which was on a gorgeous summer's day
- photos from the very cool upholstery course I went on last Sunday
In the meantime I have to catch up with OUaT.

Enjoy the film! I can't wait to see it :)

The film was very impressive, but I think the first two were better because of character development and humour.

As for your work, darn it, you have the same rights as everyone else. Don't put up with their bullshit! And don't give yourself bullshit either! Scrub out both those "notes to self", please. They are rubbish.
Is there a fine line you can walk between "complaining" and "not putting up with bullshit"? I mean, complaining always puts people on the defensive, so of course she's going to try to put all the blame on you. Can you quietly, in a dignified way, say "no" to whatever negative/rude stuff she is spewing at you? I mean, you can't change her, but you can change your reaction to her. I don't care about her, I care about you. I don't want you to feel so down, so down on yourself. *hugs*

I'm just not good at conflict; I find it very hard to express myself. In future I won't say how I feel because there's just no point. Yes, it's more dignified, as you suggest, to pretend to ignore it.
Thanks. [hugs back]

I forget to say: I ordered some little metal figures of Vila, Avon, Blake, and got a free Servalan, and they came today. Model painting in the holidays, including a Spitfire I have. :-D

Man, having to deal with other human beings is one of the worst parts of work. Or possibly of life in general, but at least in other parts of life, you often have more control over who you have to put up with.

These days the effort to crop, resize, and upload photos seems too hard, and then there's my neglected website and two trope_bingo stories to write. It's so much easier just to open a book.

Did you have an extraordinary Spring? We certainly did; I can't remember such a profusion of flowers in the garden, and the perfume! Even in the bush, the gum blossoms were so abundant that from a distance it looked like the trees were covered in snow.

I think it was pretty much as usual here, and we have different flowers all year round in the garden so probably some of them were hold-overs from winter. But I'm hoping overseas people will find the photos interesting. Plus there are some garden cats too. :-)

Hope the film was great. :)

Still, it'll be even more spectacular in 3D. January perhaps? :-)

Bilbo and Vila would get along, I think.
