Thank you!

Thanks for the replies to my previous post; they were very helpful and I have ideas now for both stories. I haven't responded yet because today was mostly spent at a Warbirds airshow on a lovely hot almost-summer's day. There was a Spitfire. :-D I love Spitfires.

There will be photos tomorrow I hope, or this week anyway, for those interested in old planes.

I can't help with writing, but I'm looking forward to reading about what you did at the airshow.

How's your summer developing? Ours was odd. Spring was hot after a wet winter, August was mild and September a drought. Now it's wet and mild.

We kept thinking spring had arrived but then winter would come back for an encore. Yesterday however it was summer for the airshow - absolutely perfect - but it's back to greyness and rain today.

I love Spitfires too! Probably due to the influence of Biggles.

My nickname as a kid was Spitfire because I loved them so much. I used to have wings for arms, ailerons for fingers, and come in for a perfect 3-point landing at the dinner table.

For me Biggles is WW1 and Sopwith Camels but I ate up any novels and comics (Battler Briton!) about WW2. They actually had Biggles omnibuses for sale there but no WW1 stories, sadly. [deploys icon of vilakins in flying helmet]
