Days 28, 29, and 30

This is the last naarmamo post for 11 months - assuming I do this again next year of course. Because it's really not that easy.

Day 28
For the topic "eye", have a cat's one. The small version doesn't look bad; the full size shows how simple the eye is (and the not-quite-right nose).
No, it's not Sebastian's eye. His are just plain green and nowhere near as bright as this one.

Day 29
"A place you want to go" might, you think, mean another tropical seaside, but no: it's spaaaaace! I decided to do a nebula and stars and adapted this cool PS tutorial.

Day 30
I wasn't inspired by any of the day's topics so I made icons of a few of my entries this month.

Don't do it if you don't want to - it's supposed to be FUN!
But I would miss you if you didn't.

Lovely icons, and the cat's eye is really striking.

You've done great this year! I do so love everything you've done, but especially the cats. The black cat's eye is awesome.

And thanks for the link to the space tutorial! I may try to make a fabric design using that method.

Anything can be made into a seamless repeat- the easiest for an abstract design (but often the least appealing) is a 'mirror' repeat in which a design is copied and flipped (once horizontally, once vertically, and once both horizontally and vertically).

I probably will use one of my other methods, though. ;^)

You've done some smashing paintings this year. I love your icons, especially the poppy...and the cats of course :)

That's lovely, poppies and a corn field...could be England :) My icon is a painting at sunset looking over farmland towards Ely cathedral which is 150 yards from my home :)

Ah, well there you go! The Suffolk border is only 10 miles away from here :)

That cats eye is lovely, I think you are being too hard on yourself.

Thanks! Cats can have the most amazing multicoloured eyes. Actually that one could almost be a dragon eye. :-)

I think the eye looks great, I'm impressed by the way you were able to vary the black shadings of the fur to give a sense of lines and texture.

I can see where this is harder than picowrimo--you actually have to produce something finished every day--and it's not the kind of thing you can think about while you're commuting :)

Actually the fur took a lot more time than the eye - but it was still a lot faster than having another go at a tabby face.

Yes, exactly right! I did two months of picowrimo but for that I don't even have to write each day (and I don't). This is much more of a commitment.
