Red Shirt Day!

Huh. Crossposting isn't working, most probably LJ's fault. So here's what I posted on DW.

It's the 21st tomorrow and I like the suggestion posted on the B7 mailing list that people wear red shirts. I only have the one, but it'll amuse the hell out of me to wear it.

Local pet shop chain Animates has posted a great video reminding us that pets know about imminent disasters like, you know, the end of the world. You go, Animates!

And here, have a bonus Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, all in Lego! Oh, and I was delighted to hear that my overseas mail has been postmarked "Middle Earth". :-D

Crossposting must have been fixed, as I can see the crossposted version, with a timestamp of 28 minutes earlier than this one.

That Lego sculpture is a work pf genius. :)

Well, damn. I tried several times last night and it just kept saying it had failed. OK, I deleted the other one. Interestingly DW still has the crossposting option to LJ blanked out so it doesn't think it worked.

Isn't it! I saw someone's personal photo with them standing next to it (it's hobbit-sized) so I went looking for a more generic one.

My guess is that LJ was being so slow that DW assumed that the attempt to crosspost there must have failed and generated a "timed out", when in fact it hadn't failed.

It's also my birthday, the only day i won't be wearing a red shirt as I don't have to go to work. ("uniform" is a red top)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You get birthdays off? Lucky you! I hope you don't suffer in the present line though. A friend had his on the 26th and used to get one present for both from family till he gave a cousin a jandal (flip-flop?) with "you'll get the other one on your birthday" on the card.

A red shirt every day is a bit pointed! ;-)

I love that add,so far the girls don't seem at all bothered but tomorrow's end of the world. I will put my vintage Welsh Rugby shirt on tomorrow and the girls will have their red collars, I always favoured being a cinder rather than a survivor.

Me too! I used to joke I should paint a target and "ground zero" on our roof. Sensible animals! Mind you, with all the pre-Christmas and summer holiday madness going on here, I wouldn't be surprised if pets picked up on the seemingly endemic stress.

I like you call it a red shirt day:-)
Great aimal video and Bilbo and it is really delightful to live in "Middle Earth"!:-)

And are you wearing one?

It is! The closest part to me is Hobbiton which we plan to visit one day, though I'm now wondering if Mt Taranaki, whose slopes I used to live on, isn't the Lonely Mountain. :-)

I should have worn a red shirt today, heh.

Love the Lego Bilbo. :)
