The rain's so heavy that it looks like nightfall outside, and it's only the afternoon. We have to go out in that later as we're going to see Bryn Terfel. That stuff's tropical intensity and when we went out for brunch this morning, there was already flash flooding. It won't be sandals tonight, then.

And now it's turned into a thunderstorm. Lightning makes me (a hill dweller) nervous.

Anyway, I had to take some books back to the library on Thursday and was surprised to see a small Star Wars Lego exhibit, probably because it's school holidays. Two photos, not that good as they were taken with my phone.


Little Lego figures and a walker I'd like to make.


More, along with a full-sized Boba Fett helmet. I'm not sure why Boba Fett has Mickey Mouse ears in the bottom left.

Now I've finally sorted out Google Plus photo hosting, I should get round to posting more pics.

Bryn Terfel, ooh yummy. Fine baritone. Whenever he sings that bit out of Rule Britannia I go weak at the knees and I'm a Paddy.

I had to dig out Rule Britannia with him dressed up with a Welsh flag. I defy the most avid postcolonial subaltern whatever not to sing along to that bloody song.

Of course it puts me in entirely the wrong mood for the scene I'm supposed to be writing this morning, which is grim. Better switch!

Ha, even I've sung along to it at the last night of our proms (and a friend dressed up as Britannia). Was he wearing the flag as a jacket? If so, I found it on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qR_bJFpilu8). :-) I also found a much older clep from when he still had all the gorgeous hair (and a rugby ball clutched to his chest).

It was great! It's probably the only change I'll ever have to see Bryn Terfel in person so I'm so glad I saw the poster advertising it.

Yes, still raining (Monday morning); it's horrible. They've also coned off half the street I usually park in which is mean considering the weather's so awful.

Damn. I hate winter so much for the wet, dark, greyness of it.

We're spoiled here, must have seen him half a dozen times at various Eisteddfods. Almost always features somewhere in the week's concerts!
