Young Miles and a hurty toe

Remember the Itty-Bitty-Kitty Committee kitten who got adopted by Vorkosigan fans and renamed Miles (along with sister Cordelia)? There's a picture of him curled up beside the book Young Miles in this Itty-Bitty-Kitty Committee post. :-)

And I think I've either broken a toe or sprained it badly. OUCHIES! I did it at work when I slipped on some water in the kitchen and landed flat on my back (which I reported). I was OK but for that toe which must have hit the wall, I dunno. I suppose I'll have to go to A&E tomorrow and waste half a holiday-weekend Saturday getting it x-rayed only to be told to do what I've done and strap it to the next one. It's extremely painful to walk on though and I just want to check it's just the toe and I haven't damaged anything in the foot. :-P

OW, your poor toe! Good to have the foot x-rayed though- it's hard to tell if one of the foot bones was also injured, in which case you might need more treatment.

And Miles is adorable. ;^)

I think it was just the toe which got twisted by the sandal strap that goes between the big one and the hurt one. It does feel better (if visibly bruised) today so I'll see how I go.

Oh no! I think you should go to A&E in work time, seeing as it was kind of their fault. Oh, but I've just thought, it's probably the weekend already where you are. In any case I hope it stops being so painful.

It happened right at the end of the work day when I was putting my cup in the dishwasher so I couldn't have gone in work time anyway. I'll go tomorrow--with a book and some earplugs because they always have the TV on. :-(

Ugh, that's awful. I guess at least you didn't get hurt worse, because that sort of fall could really bust your up.

Bust my...? Back or head? Yeah, I was mostly worried about my head but I must have a thick skull. I had a sore neck when I woke up this morning but that's heaps better after some icy-hot. My back and the rest of me apart from a slightly sore elbow is fine because it all happened so fast I must have been completely relaxed when I hit which is the best thing.

It feels better today. I now realise it just got twisted by the sandal strap that goes between the big one and that one. It does so much feel better (if visibly bruised) so I'll see how I go; the thought of hours waiting to be seen puts me right off. Greg broke his big toe a while back and they basically just said there was nothing they could do, not even strap it to the next one.

He is! I'd like to have seen how Cordelia is getting on too.

It's swollen and bruised and still painful but easier to walk with today. I hope it's a lot better when I have to walk up the hill to work from my carpark on Tuesday. :-P

I love the IBKC. Laurie takes such good photos and I do like hearing how well they've got on after they've left her.

I really couldn't be bothered with A&E. It's bruised and a bit swollen and still painful but heaps better each day; I don't think I'll be limping at all on Tuesday.
