It's 2012 here but the only fireworks are in my icon because the rain clouds are too low.



We do have champagne though, so cheers!

You mean Sydney? They do amazing displays but they're a bit far away. The Sky Tower is armed with fireworks; no idea when they'll set them off. I hope I get warning so I can watch.

I ended up staying up till 2:30 because they had Apollo 13 on TV. We own that film but we couldn't resist.

I did that too. Wasn't Apollo 13 on TV, though. (This year's Dr Who Christmas Special. Could have done without Amy and Rory making an appearance at the end, but that's okay: the next time I watch it I can stop my iPod from playing it before that point, because I enjoyed the rest.)

I can't see anything in them that would have made me like them in those episodes I did see with them in them. They may have developed more likeable characteristics in the last set of episodes, but once I heard River Song was involved in that season I didn't want to know any more. (Sorry, I find River irritating.) So I'd've preferred The Doctor to stay and have Christmas with Madge Arwell.
