Day 6 - A ball of Jasmin

I've drawn Sebastian and Ashley, so here's Jasmin, making all three of my cats.

A ball of Jasmin

Jasmin is a chocolate Burmese and the only one of our cats who isn't a rescue. I thought the picture looked a bit Japanese so I added a pattern that reminded me of stencils on wallpaper in old Japanese prints.

[sings Sheldon's song with minor changes]]
Soft Jasmin, warm Jasmin,
little ball of fur.
Happy Jasmin, sleepy Jasmin,
purr, purr, purr.

As LJ-hosted pictures aren't always showing up properly (just as a strip or very pixellated), I also have it on Flickr.

My NaArMaMo 2011 Gallery is here; go up a level for the others.

I love the way the shading conveys the softness of her fur - it looks so strokable!

Lovely, sweet Jasmin, she is like a sweet nougat. This bend paw and delicate nose with lovely whiskers and her special ear - adorable. The cakground really looks Japanese.:-)

Thank you! She does have very edible colours: caramel and coffee and chocolate. :-) I love how they curl up in balls and especially when they put their paws over their eyes which is one of Ashley's tricks.

She is so beautiful. This is a lovely drawing.

Thanks! She spends most of the night in our bedroom curled up like that. It's so cute.

Yes, Jasmin was starting to wonder :) I like how simple your lines are, but the shading gives the full effect of a sleeping cat. Good choice of background too.

Her lines are very simple when she's in a ball which is why I chose to do that pose (known as the Dormouse). Why yes, I name all the cat poses like yoga ones. :-)

Beautiful.

Thank you! She's a very elegant little cat.

Aww she is adorable. It's amazing how much concentration a cat puts into sleeping.

It's her favourite sleeping position in winter. She's like that all night on the chair in our bedroom. It's a very adorable pose!

So sweet! I love her little nose and the subtle shading.

Thanks! I could've done a bit more blending on her haunch but never mind. :-)

Beautiful drawing - Jasmin looks so peaceful. :o) I really like the blue background, too.

Thanks! I thought the blue would be a good contrast to her goldenness. :-)

She's very cute.

She is! I took such a cute photo of her tonight on the book shelf.
