30 Days Of Fan Fiction: Day 27 and Day 28

I'm not sure if this will cross-post to LJ, but in any case, have two questions so that I can catch up a little after being forced off-line for days. Two more tomorrow and I'll be finished.

27 – Where is your favourite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?

Since I write on the computer, my favourite place to write is right here because I have a desktop. I do make up stories or scenes while walking, driving, or waiting to go to sleep at night though. No particular favourite place; just wherever I feel inspired to do some film-running in my head.

28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?

Marian (entropy_house) and I collaborated on a couple of crack stories in the past where we took turns writing alternate scenes. One starring my pipe-cleaner B7 people (made by kalypso_v) about then being reduced drastically in size and having to deal with my huge mutant cats was illustrated with photos. As for the other, I have to snigger at the thought of an artist illustrating that one since it contained a treasure map tattooed on the crews' bums. Oh, you mean any fic? Nope, sorry. I've illustrated my own a couple of times though.

I've been working on it. I've had to simplify the chessboard because it was far too busy. I could send you a version this weekend. I'd keep the layered file so I could easily delete / change anything you don't like.

I'm sorry I've taken so long. I don't have Photoshop any more which is a pain, and I've been generally slack (that's depression for ya). I only finished my charity story this month and it needed picowrimo to give me a kick.

Mal asked if an emergency was taking place in someone's pants...somehow I don't think there's such a thing as an emergency desktop illo, and I'll be happy to see it when it arrives. (Since it's going on my desktop, so a .bmp would be fine.)

I was going to do a png because they're clear and not lossy, if that's OK. And the fact that it's a desktop pic makes me want to take a LOT more care than which the usual stuff I do in August.

Nope, and so do I! pngs are a bit bigger than jpgs and a lot more accurate, not losing detail when edited and saved.

Yes! You could tell who they were instantly! But there's have to be a map.

I think I preserved that story on my site along with the pipe-cleaner crew one but I'll have to check.

Yep, that one's there. I may add the pipe-cleaner one too as a backup for yours. Were there any others? I think it's just that one I don't have yet.

I don't recall any others. I could look... mmm no, I have no real way of looking for anything bar rummaging for days all over the web & my 'puter, so I just have to say I don't think there are any others.
