Scorpio, Slave, Travis, and Zen are skewed as they're also other things, and then Avon Cosmetics might add a little to Avon. I'm puzzled about Jenna though. Is there another one around (besides Bush's daughter which can't be it)? Dayna's also extraordinarily popular when you consider the amount of fiction she appears in. At least my poor underrated Vila outranks Orac--and Tarrant!

A quick look at the entries for "Jenna" implies there's an anime character named Jenna...

Poor unloved Cally. It's a good thing I love her enough for all of LJ. :)

Like me with even-less-loved Vila. [hugs Vila to within an inch of his life]

My recollection is that Jenna was pretty popular on original broadcast. My brother fancied her, anyway, and when my JCR wrote to ask for a cast visit the president insisted on putting in "especially Jenna". Probably her male fan base has faded away over the years, but maybe they retained a token interest?

[livejournal.com profile] redstarrobot says there's an anime Jenna. What's a JCR?

Junior Common Room, a social and vaguely political meeting place for undergraduates within a college. The Middle Common Room (where my life as Kalypso began) is for those doing a second degree, or serves as an alternative for those in the last year of a four-year course (which was how I qualified). The Senior Common Room is for dons.

How curiously English. We just had the student caf (one syllable only), hotbed of politics, revolution, and games of battleships, and the student's common rooms which were quiet and rather boring and seemed to be inhabited by the staid types I went to boarding school with, the sort who were hoping to meet a future doctor while they were getting their arts degree.

Well, we did have the Beer Cellar. The JCR was a rather fetching oak-panelled room with battered leather chairs and piles of newspapers lying around. Plus the Strop Book, which was a sort of paper precursor of the mailing list. I'd post you a link to what it looks like (doesn't seem to have changed much over 20 years), but it seems that doesn't work for the specific room, only for the full virtual tour.

A Drones' Club! It sounds wonderful. Ours had modern pine furniture and picture windows; I only went there twice if that. The caf was an industrial concrete dungeon with lots more atmosphere and fun.

It was a bit shabbier than that, really. The leather armchairs looked past it when I was there, and the picture doesn't suggest they've got any new ones. The Beer Cellar was directly below it (funny, I don't think that's included in the virtual tour - they can't have got rid of it, can they?)
