For those who are annoyed about the extra unwanted boxes on the comment screen which stop you going TAB and ENTER, if you have Firefox, there's a great little Greasemonkey script you can install

1) If you don't have Greasemonkey, you can add it like any other Firefox add-on here. You'll have to close and restart Firefox to activate it.

2) Then just install this script; no need to restart.

3) Speaking of add-ons, LJ hook is a brilliant one for formatting comments, though I don't like the HTML it produces for bold and italic; I still do those by hand.

I also have Dreamwidth invites if anyone is so annoyed they want one. :-)

I didn't even know you can do Tab and Enter :D I'll have to start reading the FAQs

It's just standard page behaviour: tab takes you to the next field, and enter usually activates the only button, or a default one. I use it all the time in software but tend not to use it here since I usually use the mouse to select an icon so then just click on the button, but people who don't use multiple icons find it very fast. And they're ending up on the wrong button.

I've got my fingers crossed they'll undo the facetwat buttons in the comment screen. A LOT of people complained about it on yesterdays 'news' post.

I think they'd be happier if the crap buttons were moved below the enter one so people have to make an effort to use them rather than by mistake.

I'll fix it up when I get home (why does this always happen when I'm away?) I find DW very insular and parochial, so - as I have said before - if people go there, I will miss them...

I read two or three journals there because those people prefer it, and a couple of my comms moved there, but though I post there, cross-posting to here, here is my home because that's where my friends are. If that changes, then I'm already there. :-)

Please and thank you, I would like to get onto Dreamwidth, if invites are plentiful enough that I'm not taking one away from someone who would use it more. I don't post often so I never liked to put my hand out before.
