Yeah, I saw that too. There's a news post about it here (http://news.livejournal.com/129190.html). I'm not sure how it works, or whether it would with cross-posts. I post on DW and cross-post from there. I barely use Facebook as it is.
Yeah, my fb page doesn't get much from me, and I don't tweet at all. The frothing in the comments in the news post seems a bit of an overreaction--though that seems to be common in the news posts.
Yeah, it is. Sometimes it's justified, but sometimes I get pissed off because it obscures the useful stuff, and there's also a lot of dross. The previous post asked for people to tell the best features of LJ they discovered which would have interested me but it was full of people trying to get a free gift from Frank.
However. If anyone I know starts putting Twitter (the name says it all) on my flist, they're getting defriended so fast.

I must have missed loads of your art entries - will go back and look at them all!

I just noticed the comments now have facebook and twitter buttons--the world has been waiting for my chatter with bated breath!
