What I was going to do today for naarmamo didn't work out, so here's Ashley. It's based on a photo I took of her sitting on the deck steps. The grass is cheaty Photoshop grass.
I think these are the ones I saw originally - the newer Gimp can use .abr files apparently so they are interchangable. I am sure this is on Deviant Art too ...
Ah Ashley, you are really there!:-) What a lovely silvery sheen, so typical for Ashley! And her emerald eyes and her head is perfect and the sleek body. Love!
Jasmin was running up the railing above her at the time. :-) Have a look here (http://vilakins.livejournal.com/546791.html); last two photos. Or four for added cat cuteness. :-)
Thank you! I was going to leave her as is but she's so monochrome I decided to add grass. I think she's looking up at Jasmin on the tailing above. :-) And yeah, as usual I've made a mistake. Sigh. I may have to try and fix it. I'm not a natural with animals like you.
I can see in the photo that the markings on her head are different and make it more obvious it's her head. I will fiddle and possibly re-upload. I'm fairly perfectionist but obviously nowhere near as much as some.
I'm too easily distracted to go back and fix most stuff. I find if I try to hard to fix, it just gets muddled worse. Esp. during Art a day month, when somedays just doing SOMETHING is all you can manage.
I fixed it. I don't always agree with her criticisms ( as when the teapot behind the cup was smaller) but I hate it when I've got something wrong. It bothers me till I fix it.
I suppose I should draw things no one can tell are inaccurate, but it's good practice drawing a range of subjects. :-)
The colouring and markings are lovely. The head is really good too, but I@m not quite sure about the way it fits into the neck. Other than that, no complaints at all.

I have drawn my cat in a similar S-curved pose, head going one way, tail the other. It's very appealing in a picture.
