Sorry my brain is not wsorking today, Those two always get mixed up in my mind when I see them anyway but as the actors. I should have known better Tarrent never wore black
Depends how much power the laser put out. They'd reactivated the forcefield. Bayban shot that and the energy was promptly returned back. Which either was enough to blow up the city, or casued a massive malfunction in the cannon that did the trick.
Maybe! Or the forcefield itself absorbed all the energy and blew up. Vila knew it would happen, and he's an expert on force fields, so I may go with the that.
*nods* I figured the force couldn't all go through the field, but the tiny percentage that could (whatever it was .0001?) was coming through too fast to be dissipated, so the force field overloaded and blew back with not only the laser cannon's force, but all of whatever energy powered *it*.
His hair was more a light-to-medium cool brown. Baker was pretty blond as the Sixth Doctor, so I'm not sure whether to load the old image back or not. Nah, I'll stay with this one. His hair does seem to catch the light more than Tarrant's, in this icon anyway.
Funny, if you'd asked me I'd have said he had a reddish tinge. But looking at a screencap (http://www.framecaplib.com/b7lib/html/episodes/images/cityedge/city211.htm), it's the same middling-to-darkish shade of brown as Tarrant's. (I always think Tarrant's hair is lighter than it is.)
The attachment of the front legs is rather odd - they don't seem to sit in the right place. And, just to be picky, I'd like the laser beam to look a little more impresive. However, I did recognise it as Bayban immediately. The costume was the main clue, along with the cannon.
Ahahahahaha, he just looks so FRIENDLY for blowing up cities. XD But it's definitely Bayban and while that cap posted shows a similar color to Tarrant's, Bayban's hair was definitely lighter in color. (Though not as light as it was by the time Baker played the Doctor.)
He's got maniacal eyes, but I was trying to keep the ABC reassuring and fun. :-D
I do think Six influenced me in thinking of him as so light-haired, and it does seem to catch the light more on top than Tarrant's. Great icon with the snow!
Tarrant is one of those whose hair people see differently. I've seen him described as blonde and as auburn, but I think of his hair as brown.

[Edit] I made him blonder so it's a bit more obvious. :-)

Though why a laser would do that is another matter. :-P

The natives had rigged the city to explode once the last of them had crossed over to Home aqnd the firing of the lazer was purely a coincidence.
Two explanation, technobable and reasonable, though the second one does leave out why the natives would want to destroy the city. %)

Damn. That screencap makes it very clear. I may go back to the precious colour.

I have both here and I think I prefer the lighter one as a better contrast to the background.
