Jasmin and Ashley

Jasmin and Ashley have some strange little quirks. Jasmin likes to sleep on her back or all twisted, and Ashley stands on her own tail. It's very cute: she wraps her tail neatly around her, then deliberately lifts one paw then the other and places them on her tail. Her paws are cute in themselves, with dark fur between her toes as if she's been drawn, and the undersides are completely black.

Twisted little Jasmin. We reckon she must have been twisted in utero because she like sleeping in strange poses. Another is with her head turned right back along her back, like a duck.

I took some great photos today--one of those lovely cloudless winter days we don't get enough of--but I'll post those tomorrow. I need to draw a cat now.

Ashley's toes are indeed unusual. But Jasmine is just a normal cat. Some of them do that pose more than others, but they are all that flexible and can be comfortable in positions only yoga masters can obtain in humans. :)

Ashley's feet are also black underneath and behind up to her heels.

None of my others have done that 180deg twist.

She did it tonight: one paw then the other onto her tail, then sat there in the middle of the floor with her eyes closed in pleasure (I think the heated air from the a/c was hitting right there). :-)

You are right, I have never seen such striped paws.
And yes, cats like very unusual poses, but Jasmine here is, hahaha, like a "snake cat":-)

Cuuute!And the emerald eyes! You know, I always push my forefinger inside Tygr´s paw toes, he loves it and I love the fur between his toes, it is also cute.

Ashley's eyes aren't as deep in colour now (that photo was of her as a 'teenager' kitten), but they're still pretty.

Awww, does she? None of my others have ever got into poses as contorted as that. But yeah, it's really hard to got photos of cats without them promptly moving. Feline uncertainty principle; the observer changes the observed.

Both your girls are so beautiful. I love Ashley's paws with the dark stripes between her toes! I love how she sits on her tail. Oliver will sit with his tail all curled around him, but I don't think I've ever seen him sit on it. The photo of twisted Jasmin made me laugh. So very cute.

Ashley deliberately stands on it. She sat in the middle of the floor and demonstrated for Greg. :-) It's not even as if it's a whippy tail with a mind of its own like Claudia's was (hers was in constant motion, sometimes when she was asleep) which might need to be held in place.

They are! They're not as cuddly as Claudia and Tessa were (though I had long cuddles with a cold Jasmin this morning) but they love being near me, following me round the house and especially the garden. Photos of that today. :-)

Aww they are adorable. It always gets me the way cats can sleep in positions that would be torture for us. It's a case of "You do know you are supposed to be a vertebrate.
