Jasmin is two; happy birthday!

It's Jasmin's birthday today, and she's two years old. It really doesn't seem that long since we got her at three months.

There's only a half-hour to go here so I suppose I should post the photos of her and Ashley which I took today while it's still actually her birthday.

It started with breakfast tuna, a special treat. Vic got some too, but in another room because he's slower and both girls would muscle into his when they've finished theirs if they could.


They love being on one of the guest beds in the afternoon when the sun hits it. A bit of licking...

And by early evening I realised that Jasmin's face wasn't in any of the photos. C'mon Jasmin, don't be shy, show us your face! There you go; that's much better!

Good heavens, two years? I'd never have guessed. But she looks quite grown-up, especially in that final portrait.

It really doesn't feel like two years (less three months) but they've both reached their full size now, which isn't that big. They're certainly adults in looks though they still play like kittens.

They all have two guests to their birthday meals. :-)

It was just coincidence; they were moving fast when they were playing so I was lucky to get what I did. The girls are both shy around strangers (but getting better) but otherwise Jasmin's a determined and vocal little girl.

She does! I have a Bast statue in the garden and when she sits bolt upright, all alert, she looks the same with her lean body, big ears, and straight back.

They are (though still little compared to Vic). She's heavy too--Burmese have dense bones--but actually slightly smaller than soft, feather-light little Ashley who's just over 3kg. Greetings to Noki!

Wow, has it really been two years? She was always adorable, but now she's a lovely young gentlecat.

That really made me smile. If you could see her jump and miss, or knock things off shelves, you mightn't call her that. It's Ashley who sits so primly with her tail wrapped around her and all paws daintily together; Jasmin's tail is usually straight out behind. I think she forgets she has a tail. But they're both indeed utterly adorable and sweet. :-)

She does! Sometimes I call her Tessa by mistake when all I can see is her sweet dark little face. She's probably darker now it's winter and she's inside a lot more, but it may be that she's still slowly darkening.

Jasmin's a lean little thing so she's not quite soft enough to be a plushie, but she's very velvety. They've both grown into beautiful girls, my lion and tiger cubs. :-)

Yes, the kits turned two back in January. :o) We adopted them when they were a month older than your Jasmin (4 months). They do grow up fast. They've at least stopped racing up and down the hallway at 3am, but they're definitely still playful.

Ashley was a bit older when I got her too. They make us laugh so much leaping on each other in their tunnel and charging into it so fast it slides across the room.

Nothing is better than tuna (unless it's yogurt for Ashley). I have to separate the girls from Vic when they get any soft food; Ashley in particular sits right by the door so that when I open it she can rush out to see if he's left any. Biscuits are fine though; they just graze on those.
