vilakins: Vila with stars superimposed (Default)

That meme again

And now, because I've commented on several other people's LJs, I have to post this, even though I've done it before.

I want everyone who reads this to comment with something they would like to do with me someday.

Then post this in your journal to find out what I want to do with you.

Attend Redemption. :)

What a good idea! I vote for that too...

If all goes well, in 2005, yes.

Hey... counting on my fingers... that's the next one!

Yep.

I wish! I'll keep buying the lotto tickets.

Oh... um... go all the way through the Standedge tunnel?

But I'd settle for Redemption, too.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
It's you! :-D I only just realised. And I've been admiring your icons in b7friday posts.

Greg says you're on about the tunnel! I'm not so sure--I'm like Vila in that I don't like the dark and enclosed spaces. If they don't let screaming babies on I might be a up for it though.

Redemption would be nice. Maybe if Greg gets his business trip to Germany about that time and we swap the business class ticket for two cattles... I'd love to see Germany again too, having lived there.

I haven't quite worked out the etiquette of introducing oneself round here - but I don't think I've done any b7friday posts, so maybe I'm not me at all?

Hm. Sounds a bit risque if I say I'd like to go through the tunnel with your husband! But fingers crossed re the German trip falling at the right time. You're always welcome beneath my battlements.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you!

I'm probably getting confused about where I've seen your lovely icons. The moon one is my favourite.

Midnight approaches and I have to get up at 6:30 to get to work...

Gosh, I'm deeply flattered. These are extremely amateurish first attempts, and yours are so good. I puzzled somebody yesterday when we were looking at a picture of a moon near Jupiter, and I said "Well, I'm pretty sure it isn't Calypso."

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-10 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, wrong planet!

I'm flattered too, but I have to admit that three of mine are by Snowgrouse.

I just fancy having you around for a bit so we can go walking and find some nice B& and Roman remains to look at.

Bumping into MK on a walk might be fun too ... I do keep hoping he might be wandering in my direction some time.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Ooh, that'd be fun! And so would the tramping around B7 locations and Roman ruins. ;-)

[identity profile] matildabj.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Go to a convention, definitely. Socialising with other fans. Yes.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-10 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
I can always live in hope!

[identity profile] executrix.livejournal.com 2004-09-09 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
Going to a signing of one of your pro novels, although for once quality is rewarded so you're actually too much of a big best seller to do signings.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-10 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[blush] That's my biggest dream! Not signing books, but having one published.

When I was a teenager I decided I wanted to be a writer and live in a house (dare I say villa?) by a lake in Italy. Isn't it sad that we settle for so much less?

[identity profile] executrix.livejournal.com 2004-09-10 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
There's no question that you managed the being-a-writer part. Roll on Italy.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-10 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I even have the Italian already! The language, I mean; Greg wouldn't let me keep Vito. ;-)

[identity profile] daiseechain.livejournal.com 2004-09-16 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Go shopping together in the ChCh arts centre market :-) When I'm back there someday.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2004-09-16 04:37 pm (UTC)(link)
That might be a bit difficult since I'm in Auckland, but I'd love to. It's time I visited back there, lovely place, and it's Greg's hometown. Is it yours?

Arts and crafts centres and markets are the only shopping I actually enjoy. I still remember my day there: I bought stained-glass earrings and fudge and a terracotta kitten like my Tessa and ate falafels while listening to a jazz band. Oh, and the Wizard's push-me-pull-you car was in the Square though I didn't see him. :-)
