X marks the spot, and a clue

The organiser of Talk Like a Pirate Day in the UK lost a bet and has to run for Parliament as a pirate. His website and policies are all in pirate style. Favourite election promise:
Require Apple to rename the iPad in the UK. New name: the iPatch.

And a clue I liked from yesterday's crossword:
Being very poorly, go to a house (5)
Answer: VILLA. One L too many, but he does have a weak chest. The 'house' isn't Greg House, I take it, though he's used to that level of snark.

Arrgh the government here has long been run by pirates of one sort or another. Harharhar Love his election promise! I have an icon somewhere with a pirate outline that says iPatch. Must scare that up.

That icon's still pretty good!

Haha, we definitely need a Pirate here to allow the fresh air arrive -our pre-election campaign is getting on our nerves!

We usually have some fun people like him in our elections. :-)

*hugs* Happy birthday! ♥

That crossword clue totally sounds like it should be for Greg House. :) What does villa have to be with being poorly, though? *is puzzled*

AND TO YOU, MY TWIN! :-D

He has a weak chest. :-) The clue is cryptic and breaks down as follows, "poorly" meaning unwell in British English:

very - v (abbreviated)
poorly = ill
going to a = add an a to the end (roughly)

So you get VILLA. There's an extra letter, but it still made me smile.
