Doctor Who fun

This is very cool, and someone's taken it further in comments on the first page. :-)

oh yes, they did well in the comments :D

Bwhahahahaha! It took me a few seconds to get that, and then I laughed and laughed. :)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I was pretty sure that's what it was with the decimal point there, but I did check the first three or so to be sure. :-)

Oh, fuck yeah. I'm not a member on that any more, but I was so tempted to post a picture of Ainley!Master from the Five Doctors going "it's as easy as pi!"

:-D I'm not a member either, but a friend mentioned the post.

Yes, I had to say it out loud for the first few! Very good.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
I suspected straight away but had to confirm it by doing the same. Poor Eleven misses out unless two 1s occur together.

I must admit that I didn't get it until I watched the start of the video embedded in one of the comments, though I did wonder what that little dot between the first two picture was for. :)

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
It was that little dot that gave it away to me! :-)

[identity profile] bramblyhedge.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
LOL!! Oh wow, it took me a minute to figure out. That is brilliant. XD

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
Isn't it! I gave them a piece of virtual pie. :-)

[identity profile] muscadinegril.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 11:15 am (UTC)(link)
The minute I saw the decimal I figured out what it was. That was awesome!

Too bad the children around here don't know Dr. Who (other than mine), or it would make an excellent teaching tool.

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
That gave it away to me too. :-)

I thought just about everyone knew DW, but then it wasn't till the new one came on that I knew the order of the Doctors.

[identity profile] muscadinegril.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Not around here. I've even worn my Doctor Who scarf without anyone realizing what it was.

My husband has a Tardis plushie on his desk, and people have asked him if he's in law enforcement.

However, the other day I did see someone who looks suspiciously well-educated have a look of recognition when I was standing in line with the husband and made a joke about Skaro.

My two Who scarves aren't canon enough colours to get recognised, though the garter stitch might do it. I haven't worn them in the street though.

My LIBR8R number-plate has been recognised a few times, but people mostly just make the word out and ask me if I'm an activist or something,

[identity profile] muscadinegril.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't worn mine on the street, but I have worn it in places where more than just family and friends go.

I wore my Captain Jack greatcoat all winter long two winters ago, and maybe two or three people recognized it.

How wonderful! I haven't the height to carry that off.

That was great--it took me a second, then I started laughing.

Do you have an icon for every occasion or what?

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
One of my icons! :-D Poor Eleven missed out (They used 10 for zero) but if two 1s appear together he'd be in there.

I made a couple of pi pie icons for Pi Day last year (http://vilakins.livejournal.com/451756.html) but hardly ever use the one I kept. This was a perfect opportunity.

I missed Pi Day this year because the date is 14 March to me.

Lol, that's very good :D

[identity profile] vilakins.livejournal.com 2010-04-23 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I gave them virtual pie for it. :-)
