Jasmin and knitting

I found Jasmin burrowed into my knitting last night, and called out to Greg to come and see something utterly adorable.

THIS WAS NOT POSED! Jasmin just loves borrowing under things. I think she likes the feel of the yarn as she often sleeps curled up next to my knitting, but this is how I found her last night.



It's a Who-inspired scarf done in rib and colours I like better (which are softer in daylight, I assure you) and it doesn't cover much of her.



Still, she stuck her nose under and went back to sleep. :-)



And this is how she was an hour or so later, curled up like a dormouse, but with her head still on the scarf. Awwww.

Thanks! It's a more manageable width and doesn't have a wrong side, but it's been a WIP for a while since it's summer.

She's a very elegant cat who nonetheless does funny and bizarre things, like sleeping all twisted up, or with all four paws in the air. And she is a sweetie!

My thoughts went like this:

Oh noes! Jasmin don't stab yourself. Wait, Jasmin is a smart kitty. She won't. Ooooh nice colours. AWWWWW how cute. Is she playing peek-a-boo with the scarf? I drew little cats with woolly hats and scarfs in the snow on my Christmas cards this year. Her dormouse pose is so funny compared to the first pic where she looks so regal.

They love knitting needles and never seem to hurt themselves. She wasn't playing peek-a-boo, but just trying to have a nap when the humans came over with the flashy thing and disturbed her.

What lovely pics. Jasmin looks so sweet cuddled up in the scarf. I just hope the scarf survived the encounter without damage. If not, at least it was sacrificed in a good cause.

She's never damaged knitting, even as a tiny kitten (though I couldn't say the same for Ashley). If I'm not careful, they do both chew yarn though which isn't that pleasant with you get to the wet bit. :-P

She usually just curls up next to it. She seems to like the texture of knitting. I have no idea why she wanted to get under it on a hot summer evening though. Silly little girl.
