Holmes paper dolls!

[livejournal.com profile] spacefall and other Holmes fans: look at this! It's five sample pages from a book of... Sherlock Holmes paper dolls! See Holmes, Watson, and Lestrade and some alternate costumes, and on the 5th sample page, a whole series of Holmes and Watson heads if you fancy different actors. I had no idea so many had played the pair. I'm not sure how the alternate heads work since they're all looking in different directions and the hats won't fit them. Perhaps one needs the whole book.

The link is temporary; Dover Publications only leave their samples up for about three weeks.

There's a caption in small print above the 4th link that helps to explain it.

I think the first set of bodies with heads on it has costumes & hats to fit on them.

The second set of bodies is for putting the extra heads into & may not have extra costumes- at least it won't have hats, because each head already has a hat.

Ahhh, thanks! :-)

And I see there are two more pages of actor heads. :-P

*nods* They were pretty generous with the samples on this. Sometimes they only show one body and one set of clothes.

Heheh, [livejournal.com profile] entropy_house shared it too. Hilarious.

I didn't see that, and still can't. :-P Maybe I'm incredibly late posting.

Nah, it was in a comment. Sorry for being confusing! I'd never heard of these samples before :D

I signed up for the emails after [livejournal.com profile] entropy_house mentioned them a while back. I save the images that interest me.

oh wow. I bet someone has made paper dolls for the B7 characters and their crazy outfits.

[livejournal.com profile] spacefall made a wonderful online Avon one (http://spacefall.co.uk/b7/doll.php), bwahahahaha!

The "GEEK" shirt is the one that won my heart. [grin] Paired with the fishnets, that's perfect for a night in!

[grin] Absolutely :P

Nothing ever surprises me about Dover stuff. These are fabulous.

I signed up for their emails a while back as I love looking at their samples and downloading the images I really like.

I grew up down the road from their offices and warehouse. My Dad never had to puzzle out what I wanted for Christmas in any given year.

Lucky you! I'd like to buy a lot of their books, but the freight would double the price. I content myself with playing with the images in graphics software.

I LOVE IT!

No Jeremy Brett though, who will always be *THE* man to me ;0)

I see now that that page was the middle one of three. He'd be on the third page, I'm sure.
