Day 12 - Art Deco Jenna

Someone suggested drawing the women of Blake's 7 in Art Deco style, so I had a go at it for today's naarmamo entry.

This is Jenna in one of the outfits she wore, though I lowered the belt to her hips. I'm not sure if I'll do all of the women yet.

Lowering the belt and of course, exaggerating the length really works. She looks very Art Deco.

The pose does look a little hollow-chested - shoulders and hips in advance of everything inbetween (partly caused by the blousing of the top above the belt). Perhaps the centre line should curve forward a little below the collar, and then back and straight down.
That's the only thing that stands out to my eye. Otherwise it's excellent and I'm envious.

You know, I see this and I find myself thinking, you couldn't REALLY have drawn this!? It's so perfect I keep imagining I've seen it in an ad for Art Deco books.

And it was so easy! I filled her black in with the bucket tool so the lines would still show, and the dots took the longest. :-) Not having to shade makes it faster too.

Hello (cough cough) I'm back! Scaring my horrible housemates by coughing all day - they're all in hiding, I think they're scared of swine flu.

I wrote you a card in Madrid but the man only had stamps for the UK (I don't understand that, but my brother speaks Spanish) so I'll send it from here. Ah well, though that counts and all that...
