I expect a lot of flists are composed of people with compatible humor- if someone finds things funny that offend you/bore you/confuse you, you're less likely to want to read their journal.

I like vulgar, I guess, so long as it's not stupid. 'Carry on' yes, 'Jackass' no.

I'd never have guessed that, but to me "Carry On" isn't that vulgar, and I'll forgive a lot for cleverness. :-) Some of the stuff now is too gross for me.

Carry On's are vulgar in a seaside postcard kind of way, which is pretty mild.

I loved American Pie, which the quiz probably defines as vulgar. A lot of the humour is crude in subject matter, but the movie is warm-hearted and the characters are well-developed. The boys initially just want to get laid, but grow up somewhat, and the girls have their own agendas.

I didn't think of that as very vulgar either. I suppose "My Name is Earl" is, but it's also very warm-hearted and affirming despite some of the gags (ha!) they come up with. I'm sorry it's been canned.

I didn't like The Office, but that's an interesting way of looking at it: in terms of helping you laugh at an environment you recognise. Me, on the other hand, I just didn't want to see any more of that kind of environment.

I think a lot of people felt that way. I was very relieved and delighted with how it ended; I thought they'd go for bleak.
