I don't have an LJ client so I don't know about birthdays till other people mention them. So Happy Belated Birthday to spacefall; I hope you had a great day.

I had a good one myself; I just got home to find my Firefly DVDs have arrived! They're cute; they look like planets. There's nothing I like on TV at the moment apart from 'The Sopranos' and 'Black Books', so yay! Mind you, I have some old tapes of 'Starcops' I got second-hand which I haven't got round to watching yet; must get them out sometime.

Ah, Starcops... it's been ages. I recall liking it quite a bit. And it had an oddly catchy Moody-Blues-esque theme tine.

It was a Moody Blues tune -- it was by Justin Hayward, one of the Moody Blues guys. I wish I had a proper recording of it.

A lot of B7 fans like it. Apparently it's coming out on DVD in the UK soon.

Well, it's another Chris Boucher series, so there's some similar qualities. Sort of funny and grim at the same time. And there's a scene in it that reminds me of the opening scene of Star One, with the ship to base conversation building the tension in odd ways.

Enjoy the Firefly! I've just got through watching it myself, although I haven't finished with the extras yet. I'm so disappointed there won't be anymore apart from the movie. Is the movie going to be released in NZ?

Haven't seen Starcops. Is it worth it? I might see if I can rent it somewhere.

Probably not. We haven't even had season 4 of Farscape yet and we've got actors in it. Hey, we don't even get Enterprise. SF fans don't count; reality shows rule. [gag]

Hate to say it, but your not missing much. I wanted to like it, I really did, and I tried really hard, but well... Less executive interference is what's needed there I think.

God, it's deteriorated since I left, but I suppose it makes sense, they never did spend much money on the shows. I did like all the old repeats that gave us though. High Chapparel anyone?

We have a UK Sky channel with lots of British repeats. When they do repeat old US favourites, they're often on every day and that's an overdose that's just too much for me to handle.
