Bot accounts and how to report them

A lot of people have been friended by bot accounts which have generated text about Masha and Andrew in them, plus links to work-from-home sites. There may be others using similar schemes.

There's now a bot account reporting tool; thank you LJ. I've reported three accounts there already.

Thanks for this. I was just now friended by a bot, which hasn't happened to me before. Fortunately I remembered this post and was able to report it (I also banned the bot account from commenting on my journal, just in case).
