Blake's 7 on the brain

I was just checking the Sky listings in an attempt to find out what happened to our live cricket against the West Indies (they were showing a previous game--was it rained out?) and I saw a program called "Debbie Travis's Facelift". Not one of your unisex names, Debbie--and it belongs more to the Tarrant family anyway--but I couldn't help wonder if it explained Travis's new look in season 2.

Oh, and I finally got to see the repeat of the last Morse episode which was very sad as I'd been warned. It also had T P McKenna as a sleaze harassing a young doctor. I couldn't help but see him as Sarkoff though. He'd hardly changed at all.

was it rained out?

Looks like it.

It's been hosing down since yesterday afternoon. Big mass of raincloud coming north from the southern coast, flood warnings in parts of the country. Ah, well, we had a good spell earlier, and there will be more in a few days, I think.

Look at me, rattling on about the weather. I've been assimilated!

if it explained Travis's new look in season 2.

He was her first experiment. It was after that that the family raised the credits for her to go to makeover school. She never got to the giddy heights of the Supreme Commander's Wardrobe Department, though.

Mainly because she was the one who worked on Jarriere's nose and then recommended a perm to detract from the failure of the operation.

Hey, everyone talks about the weather here too, I suppose because it's a constant surprise given the inaccuracy of forecasts.

(Just saw this--I'm not getting LJ e-mails for some reason.)

...everyone talks about the weather here too...

Yeah, it's rather influential on parts of the economy! And both countries are skinny bits of rock, exposed to whatever the nearest ocean happens to throw at them.

I used to have an Australian colleague who would marvel at how green the landscape is here, then, in the next sentence, complain about how much it rained. Ahem.

I'm not getting LJ e-mails for some reason.

Yeah, there's been some sort of problem with that recently. I thought it had been fixed, I suppose not.

There's a gawdawful movie out now about a couple of black FBI agents (played by the Wayans brothers) who go undercover as Paris-Hilton-type blonde socialites...

Eh? I'm stunned into near silence!

BTW I read your icon as 'mal roi'--bad king--and thought it was a comment on their leadership qualities till I saw the slash.

Oh, and I wish I'd seen Firefly so I could enjoy your crossover even more than I do. Must see if I can hire it.

I bet you'd like Wash very much. And, until you can organize a rental or borrowing a copy, there's a summary on crack_van.

Thanks for the tip. And from what I've heard and seen of Walsh (he looks like Harper whom I like) I think you're right. :-)
