My B7 card for this year

It's the 28th here, and tonight's the last one for Hanukkah, so here's the picture and text for my card.

As Hanukkah went over Christmas this year, I decided to use that as a theme.

This picture and text was on the front.


Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah,
or whatever Festival of Light you celebrate!

This text and picture (it's wide to show it all, sorry) was across the width of the inside.

It was Vila's idea, with the crew all together again (it was a miracle!) and Blake agreed since the story of Hanukkah is about a rebellion and a miracle. So here they are with their own nine lights (they only did the last day; miracles are limited). Blake has the Flame of Freedom, Vila has a sparkler, Jenna a scented candle, Avon a laser probe, Gan a light bulb, Cally a torch, Dayna a flamethrower, Tarrant thought his teeth sufficed (which they did), and Soolin has her gun.

It was made up of nine separate pictures drawn on transparent backgrounds and put together, then a few details like the laser and torchlight added.

No, but I have them as separate pics. Why, do you want me to send you them? Most are complete but Avon, Cally, and Dayna are missing their laser light, torch-light, and flames because they went out of frame on the small ones.

Tell you what, I'll add the laser and other stuff to the separate ones and send load them up onto my site, because I do think I have better stuff, and I have a fair bit of B7 art from 2008 that needs to go there. They should be up in a day or so, then I'll send you the URL amd you can download what you like. :-)

It was so hot and sticky yesterday (28C and 90%) that I didn't do anything, sorry. It's raining today and--so far anyway--not as sweltering so I'll try to get to it today. I'll let you know when I have.

OK, I've done it (phew)! Uploading all those pictures and thumbnails was a right job I'd been putting off. :-)

I've added B7 portraits from NaArMoMo to the general page, and a few cartoons to their page, and you may be interested in the Simpsons and Molesworth pages if you know and like those styles.

I also added a new page for my cards (http://www.farsight.net.nz/art/cards.htm), so you'll find the Hanukkah pictures there: the composite one and the nine that made it up. The nine have transparent backgrounds, but the thumbnails are all on white as they're not GIFs. Download any you like. :-)
