Cat and kitten picspam

And now for some cat and kitten picspam. jthijsen wanted to know about my cat tunnel, so I finally got some photos of them playing. They're action shots, so a little odd, but you'll get the idea. There is also an Ashley close-up, and pictures of cat and kitten snuggling. And copycats! :-) I need to make an icon with both kittens in it.

Ashley has such beautiful eyes and markings.

It's made of two layers of nylon with some crinkly stuff in between, and a spiral of wire to hold the shape. It can be compressed down into a fairly thin disc to pack away. You can also get a Y-shaped orange tunnel here, but this takes up less room, and they love it.

Copycats! Claudia and Tessa used to do this! I'm so pleased that I have a new set.

I am, very much! I was a bit worried when I got Ashley in case she and Jasmin didn't get along (and I've had friends with cats like that), but they really are the best of friends now.

Aww - they're so adorable! The tunnel is very nice - I bet the are having loads of fun! There is a version for small humans, by the way, here you can get them at IKEA in the children's department. :)

They're all lovely, but I think my favourite is the penultimate one of Ashley acting as a sort of frame to curled-up Jasmin!

Rosie and Tabitha are sitting behind me - R on the floor, T on the desk - looking expectant, but I'm not sure what about, they've just had a meal. Maybe they want to look at the pussy pics.

They seem to know when we're thinking of them, or about cats in general. They also see two-dimensional pictures in three, just as we do. Jasmin tried to move the frangipani on our duvet cover.

They'd been playing for a while now, but they've only just started cuddling. I was so hoping they would.

K'zin must be kinder than his name sounds! Does he great you with a scream and a leap? Jasmin does the leap; she lands on my shoulders while I'm at the computer, then climbs down for a cuddle. :-)

Jasmin does have long toes! Look at the second tunnel pic; it almost looks like a little human arm and hand! Ashley has cute toes too because they're black between them; she has entirely black soles and pads.

I'm typing with one hand here; Jasmin has climbed up and asked for a cuddle, and gone to sleep. :-)

I love that tunnel, I wish I knew where to find one. All the tunnels I can find here don't keep open, the cat has to dig its way through. Mine won't do that. But then, they also don't play with the cyclotron.

They're beautiful and seriously cute kitties and I strongly suspect they'll be friends for life.

They're lovely photos, and I'm *so* glad that they're getting on so well. You must be so pleased. As well as saying something about the cats themselves, I'm sure it says a lot about the loving and secure environment that you give them. (Not to mention the tunnel! I'm not showing that to Muffin, or he'll want one, too....)

How old is Muffin? Claudia and Vic have shown almost no interest.

They're all lovely cats (though Vic prefers us to his own species) and I've usually had very good luck getting two cats to bond. Vic didn't really have a chance because Claudia and Tessa were so close--and they were two years apart. I think it really helps when the new cat is a kitten. This is my third close pair now. :-)

Jasmin has just leaped onto my shoulder to say hello. She know I'm talking about them.
